Wow.. that second point. That's must have been really, really tough.

And I'll bet there's much more back story behind this list. However, I don't want to pry like that... but feel free to share it if you feel comfortable. If not, then just ignore this. Big Grin

  2. Carolina Bound Says:

I used to babysit for an astronaut's children -- Don Eisele, who has now passed away. And another astronaut, Don Williams, used to be married to my best friend's cousin.

Seattle is a lovely city. Very different feel from cities on the East coast.
"the nun taped my mouth shut for talking"- When I went to elementary school in Taiwan, we'd get whacked by the teacher for giggling in class....mind you, we were a room full of silly little girls, too.

  4. PRICEPLUS Says:

The nuns used to whack us with a ruler across the palms of our hands. They also had a way of pulling you out of your seat by the hair that could be very unpleasant!EEK!
My sister is a survivorof abuse. It took her a long time to leave the relationship. I am glad you are safe now.

I wish I could have seen the look on your husbands face when you beat him at golf. My wife beat me at Scrabble and she rubed it in for a week!Big Grin

When I was in first grade, I got a 'C' in conduct. I never stopped talking.

  6. Thrifty Ray Says:

My friend and I once beat my (now) DH and his friends at pictionary. ...they were all tankers in the Marines.

    The winning picture? "tanker"

(The person drawing got too into detail...it was hysterical!)

  7. PRICEPLUS Says:

Thrifty, don't you wish you had that on video!Smile

I saw Johnny Bench in a restaurant once.
I, too, am afraid to go back to school. Halfway through, I gave in--my grades were great, but my undiagnosed disorders did me in. The memories are hard to overcome and I can't seem to make myself actually do it.
    Your list is great!

Broken Arrow, yes a bit of a story, behind my list. I don't consider it prying.
